Condrieu, Terrasses du Palat, Francois Villard

Condrieu is one of France’s great white wines and I’ve been looking for the right wine to stock for ages. This is very much it.

Made from 100% Viognier, it delivers plenty of the trademark peach and apricot notes you’d expect with hints of honey starting to develop. The real star here is the wonderful sense of balance with which it’s been made with a real sense off freshness and beautiful minerality keeping that power in check.
