The Bishop Of Norwich Cape Tawny nv

This tawny is from a single barrel that was first filled in 2006. - which makes it both super-limited and a bit of an anomaly (17 year old tawny port not really being a recognised thing in South Africa) - which is why it has to be designated nv.

But trust us, this is both utterly delicious and a stone cold bargain. Mature caramel/mahogany in appearance, with a complex nose of brandy, dried apricots and toffee. Despite the fact the wine feels dry on entry, it carries between 100 and 110 grams per litre of residual sugar. The sweetness being endorsed by the persistent finish.
