Pascal Doquet, Champ d’Alouettes 2004

We wanted to get some properly fancy Champagne and it just seemed right getting some in from grapes harvested in the same year the shop was founded.

Made from 100% Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru Le Mesnil Sur Oger. The wine spent 17 years on lees before being disgorged in 2022. The result is a wonderfully layered and complex Champagne with layers of citrus fruits, baked apple, brioche and an incredibly long, savoury finish. It’s stunning.
