Moulin Touchais 1985

Nearly 40 year old sweet Chenin Blanc from a legendary Loire producer. The Touchais family have been making wine by the banks of the Layon since 1787 and their labyrinthine cellars contain bottles going as far back as the mid 19th century.

The 1985 is open and expressive, showing significant development. Delicate and elegant on entry, it builds well with a notable thread of acidity running through the wine. Persistent and powerful finish. This is drinking now but will continue to hold for many more years.
