Okay, we are going to skip January and kick our 2026 tasting schedule off on Sunday 22nd of Feb with an introduction to the wonderful world of sherry.
This has been on the back burner for a while, but the time never seemed to be quite right - Now, with the festive season out of the way, but the weather still a wee bit chilly, why not join us for a few glasses of Andalusia’s greatest export?
It’s a rather frustrating part of the trade, because whilst all of us this side of the counter know how phenomenal some of these wines are, their appeal seems confined to the festive season.
So if you come along, expect us to do a little bit of rhapsodising as we try to demonstrate how varied and versatile sherry is (it also remains absurdly underpriced)
I’ve found some new Manzanilla I want you all to try - and Mark has been keen to show off his Amontillados for a while. We will fill the gaps with some other excellent examples across the range of styles - from the steely dry, to the indulgently rich
The tasting will start at 7pm sharp on Sunday 22nd of Feb in Argonaut Books, at the Foot of Leith Walk. Tickets are £30 per person and available HERE or over the counter in both shops. For this you will get a flight of seven glasses of wine and the usual nibbles to line your stomach
See you soon !
