Not quite as cheerful a topic as some of our previous tastings, but we have decided to dedicate an evening talking about climate change and how it’s affecting everyone, including what’s in our glasses.
Over the last few decades, the wine industry has seen a lot of change, and with dwindling resources on a heating planet, we can expect things to get ever tougher for growers, winemakers, importers and retailers.
We are aware this is a fairly depressing subject, so we will try to lift up everyone’s spirits with some fantastic wines and moderately good chat on the future of winemaking, irrigation process, the resilience of indigenous grapes, etc.
The tasting will start at 7pm sharp on Sunday 25th of May in Argonaut Books at the foot of Leith Walk. Tickets are available HERE or over the counter in both shops. They are £25 per person and include a flight of 7 wines and a few nibbles to line up your stomach.
