The 33rd mission of the liberator to bring back the hidden treasures tucked away in South African wine cellars has brought back a Pinotage. Though viewed as one of South Africa's signature grapes it's got a bit of a chequered reputation with an awful lot of average to awful examples out there. At it's best though, you get this, an utterly brilliant medley of supple tannins, silky red and dark fruits, floral hints and spicy notes.
