An enormous continent with an equally enormous variety of terroirs, climates and varieties. From cool climate, high altitude whites, to beefy, boozy, sun-kissed reds, all at more than reasonable prices.
Chile has (perhaps unfairly) a bit of a jack-of-all trades reputation which has placed it in the curious position of being both very popular and rather under-appreciated.
Argentina has, if anything the opposite problem it’s wine industry will forever be associated with Malbec and as awesome as the best Argentine Malbec is, it’s success somewhat overshadows the rest of the country’s output.
